A lot of positives came away from today's game but for one post, one day, I'm taking off my Maroon and Gold glasses and putting on my Black and Gold (L'Anse Creuse North) ones.
Down 27-0, late in the game when I'm sure several fans were back in the tailgate lot or elsewhere, walk on tight end Tyler Conklin caught a 4 yard TD pass to cap off what has been by all accounts a great spring.
I'm so damn proud of this kid for putting in the work and continuing to battle from the moment he has set foot on CMU's campus. Making the call to leave Northwood basketball and walk on at CMU for football was a tough one for him and a major bet on himself.
I'm so happy for him and his family today and am excited to see what he might possibly do in the fall.
