Tyler is posting full audio from today and I should be able to have a couple features through the rest of the week. For now, he's some tidbits (!) from CMU Media Day. We've got Enos' position-by-position breakdown up as an article and that has a bunch of good stuff in it. Here's some key tidbits from that and from the questions he fielded.

- Said they have more depth than they've had in his time at CMU.

- Defense won the jersey scrimmage on Sunday, which the first time since he's been here that the defense won.

- Gainer, McClendon and Serpa all look good at DE. Louis Palmer is down to 265 at DE. Alex Smith looks more comfortable coming off the injury.

- Jabari Dean has been limited by a hip injury, but should be ready to go when CMU goes to Michigan. Ben Randle looks good off the back injury. Happy that they've got guys that are 300-plus pounds at DT.

- Joe Bacci hurt his shoulder on the third day. Hasn't been able to practice since then.

- Kavon Frazier is going to be the second starting safety. The second CB spot is still up for grabs.

- Maurice Shoemaker is back at RB.

- Jake Olson hasn't missed a practice or a rep. Cody Pettit is expected to be the fifth guy on the OL. Will start at right guard.

- Ron Coluzzi and Matt Cotiguala are battling at kicker. Coluzzi and Connor Gagnon are competing at kickoffs.

- Would like to announce the starting quarterback by early next week. Originally, he had said the Monday of Michigan week. (In my opinion, this means that they're really close to deciding on the guy, but they want the extra week to be sure.)

- Said Cody Kater was the best QB during the scrimmage on Sunday. Enos qualified this by saying that all of three played well, but that Cody has been particularly good over the last few days. (Again, this is my opinion, but I think the writing is on the wall at QB.)

- I seriously think 60ish percent of the questions were about the quarterbacks. When the offensive players (Tipton, T. Davis, Olson) and defensive players (Benton, Cunningham) came in to address all the media, 70 percent of the questions were about the QBs and half the questions Enos fielded were about the QBs. The media is obsessed with it. The ironic thing is that I think the coaching staff is 90 percent sure who is going to be the starter.

- Martez Walker, Garland and MSG are all competing for the No. 3 RB spot.

- Jerry Harris, Courtney Williams and Jesse Kroll are competing at the X-WR (slot), but Andrew Flory has taken reps inside and outside, and Anthony Rice has seen some snaps there as well.

- Said if they played this week, all of the new freshmen would redshirt. All of them are getting reps and some of them with the twos, but as of right now, they would redshirt. Either way, most of this year's class should be redshirting.
