Note: This post only includes information about commits that are on a team that has made the playoffs.

Here is a rundown of how CMU commits did last week in their respective high school games:

Mt. Pleasant RB/LB Hunter Buczkowski - Mt. Pleasant 0 - East Grand Rapids 35
The Oilers were completely shut down at home last Saturday afternoon as East Grand Rapids dominated right from the start, eliminating Mt. Pleasant from the Division 3 playoffs. Trailing early, Buczkowski struggled to get anything going carrying the ball 5 times for just 9 yards. He also added 2 catches for 20 yards. However, he did show up big on the defensive side of the ball with a team-high 17 total tackles.

Clintondale DE Joshuwa Eldridge - Eliminated from the playoffs.

Utica RB Kumehnnu Gwilly - Utica did not make the playoffs this year. They finished with a 4-5 record.

Mumford WR Tee'Ondre Harvey - Mumford did not make the playoffs this year. They finished with a 4-5 overall record.

Highlands (Kentucky) QB Austin Hergott - Highlands 52 - Dixie Heights 21
Highlands (7-5) opened the 2015 playoffs with a big win last Friday night. The Bluebirds scored 28 unanswered points and cruised to victory from there. They are peaking at the right time, winning five consecutive games now as they advance to the quarterfinal round of the Kentucky 5A State Playoffs. They finished the game with 494 yards of offense, 422 of which came in the rushing attack. Hergott opened the third quarter with a 51-yard completion, and followed that with an 11-yard touchdown pass. He finished the game 4-of-11 passing for 72 yards and a touchdown. Highlands will now face Covington Catholic at home with a chance to advance to the state semifinals.

Farmington DB Jakkar Jackson - Eliminated from the playoffs.

Detroit King DE Leon Page - King 26 - East English Village Prep 12
Leon Page and the number one ranked team in the state continued to roll last Saturday afternoon with another defensive effort that gave their team the win. Page and the King defense held EEVP off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter, but struggled themselves on offense. A defensive touchdown for the Crusaders was the only score through 3 quarters of play. Page and his defensive line partners helped force three interceptions, two of which went to standout defensive back LaVert Hill. With the win, King remained undefeated and has advanced to the Division 2 semifinals where they will take on Livonia Franklin. The game is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday at Dearborn High School.

Bishop McNamara (Illinois) RB Jonathan Ward
- Bishop McNamara 53 - Byron 32
I feel like we say this every week, but Jonathan Ward had another beast mode performance to help his team improve to 11-1, advancing to the 3A Illinois state semifinals. The McNamara defense stopped Byron on a pair of fourth-down attempts early in the game, and then it was the Ward show. He ran the ball for 125 yards and three touchdowns and also had 56 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. Byron actually had more yards in the first half than the Fighting Irish, but trailed by two touchdowns heading into the break. McNamara will now take on IC Catholic (Elmhurst) in the Class 3A Illinois state semifinals. The game is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday at Elmhurst.
