Here is a rundown of how CMU commits did last week:
Mt. Pleasant RB/LB Hunter Buczkowski - Mt. Pleasant 49 - Saginaw 20
As the quarterback experiment continued for the Oilers, the run game did not change. Buczkowski carried the ball 17 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns in his team's big win. He also had nine total tackles on defense. The big season keeps going to Buczkowski.
Clintondale DE Joshuwa Eldridge - Clintondale 22 - Madison 23
Eldridge helped his defense hold Madison to just three points the entire second half, but it wasn't enough in the end. Madison scored 20 points in the first half and Clintondale was unable to complete the comeback. Individual stats for Eldridge were unavailable.
Utica RB Kumehnnu Gwilly - Utica 0 - Grosse Pointe South 30
Gwilly was held off the scoreboard for the first time in many weeks as his team was shut out. Utica's offense got nothing going all game as Gwilly struggled to find running lanes. Utica fell to 3-4 with the loss.
Mumford WR Tee'Ondre Harvey - Mumford 6 - Detroit King 48
The Mumford offense continued to struggle as they fell to 3-5 on the season. Harvey was shut down against one of the best defenses in the entire state of Michigan.
Highlands (Kentucky) QB Austin Hergott - Highlands 42 - Dixie Heights 7
Both Highlands and Dixie Heights played in state title games last year, and both came into the game desperately seeking a win. Hergott completed 10-of-17 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 34 yards and a rushing touchdown. A good sign after a rough stretch for the senior quarterback.
Farmington DB Jakkar Jackson - Farmington 12 - Farmington Hills Harrison 13
Farmington fell to 4-3 last week after losing a heart-breaker to rival Harrison. Jackson had a hand in seven tackles in the losing effort and did an excellent job reading the play as Harrison ran out of multiple formations.
Detroit King DE Leon Page - King 48 - Mumford 6
Number one ranked Detroit King improved to 7-0 on the season last week with another dominating performance against Mumford. Page helped lead his team to another victory, holding the opponent to just six points. No individual stats for Page were available.
Bishop McNamara (Illinois) RB Jonathan Ward - Bishop McNamara 24 - Providence Catholic 14
The Fighting Irish trailed 14-6 in the first half, but drew even in the third quarter before scoring 10 more points in the fourth quarter to eliminate Providence Catholic from any playoff hope. Bishop McNamara improved to 6-1 with the victory. Ward's stats were unavailable.
