Just saw in CM-Life that Dave Heeke has singed a 4 year contract extension, paying him in excess of $250K per year. This isn't too surprising, he's publicly stated he wanted to stay at CMU, so this just confirmed that.
I don't need to go on another frustration fueled rant about the state of our football program, but I think this just solidifies the status of Enos moving forward. Setting that aside, the article quoted Heeke saying that one of his next majors goals is to construct a new football building in the north end of Kelly/Shorts, which would replace the outdated locker rooms that currently exists there. He indicated the new building would hold football offices, locker rooms, plush areas to hold events and recruits, luxury boxes. etc.
I hope that comes to fruition, I've been happy with the upgrades to the stadium over the past 15-20 years, but I think this potential project would really be a game changer for the program. I've always felt the north end of the stadium looked 30 years behind the rest of the facility, so getting that fixed up will be a nice step forward for the football program.
