Welp. We have officially had some tough luck in 2016.

Wide receivers Jesse Kroll and Eric Cooper will miss the rest of the season with knee and foot injuries. Kroll was a 6th year wide receiver who had already missed a lot of time due to injury. His CMU career is officially over. According to teammates he is staying in positive spirits, but this one hurts, a lot.

Wide receiver Mark Chapman is expected to be back this week after being relegated to just place holder duties last week. That is a big boost for the receiving corps.

Offensive lineman Derek Edwards will remain out this weekend, and will be expected to miss 2-4 weeks with his foot injury. Edwards is one of the top offensive lineman on the team and at a position that is not very deep. However, Steve Eipper did a decent job covering up for him last weekend and will have a chance to continue to prove himself on Saturday.

Safety Tony Annese is a game-time decision. He was held out last week and it really showed as the CMU secondary was torched for 400 passing yards. If he can go it will be a big boost for the defense.

Linebacker Mitch Stanitzek remains out indefinitely with no timeline to return.
