I'll hopefully have more on this in the coming days, but here are some key points from MAC Media Day.
- Avery Cunningham talked about how much it's helped the defense that they're playing in the 4-2-5 for a second full season. This was a theme.
- Tipton says he recently checked in at 220 pounds and said the last time he was clocked in the 40, he was at a 4.4. If that's true, he's a NFL back. Not sure I completely believe him, but the fact that it might be true shows the kind of asset that Tipton is.
- Both Cunningham and Tipton raved about how they can't wait to go into Michigan Stadium and what a win there would mean for their team.
- Enos said all three QBs have had great summers and will all be given an equal opportunity to win the job in camp.
- Cunningham and Benton are expected to fill leadership roles on defense.
- Enos said in hindsight, Olson being hurt last year has turned into a blessing, Said that he is healthy and as strong as he's ever been.
- CMU was voted 4th in the West for the MAC preseason poll, including one vote that picked the Chippewas to win the conference.
I'll have a bunch of Enos stuff later today, but now I've got to grab lunch and hit the road. Will continue to post throughout the day.
