Miami has partnered with Adidas to produce some new, cutting edge uniforms. Their colors? Red, White and CHROME. Feathers will be in the helmet, numerals, uniforms. MIAMI will be shown across the rear of the helmets.
Buffalo is also moving on. Their jerseys now say "NEW YORK" across the front.
So, at some point CMU will have to go into some sort of updating. Yes, we received some new gear last year from Adidas. However, outside of the gloves, and the 'blacks', their wasn't much "WOW" factor. Do we need to head down this road? If so, what should we lock onto as our bit of extra bling? We have to keep the C as we have a lot invested and it is getting recognized. What else? What's the next step to recognition? Gold helmets with CHIPPEWA across the back? Maybe Maroon helmets with gold "fire" emblems covering it?
