With some recent attrition (happens with every team) from the CMU program, a few scholarships have opened up and CMU has been active in recruiting, and a few new names have popped up.
DT Derrick Rodgers, College of DuPage (Iowa)
-Massive man at 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Rodgers is also an incredible athlete with a reported 4.85 forty. Originally from Redford (Mich.) Thurston and was part of the class of 2011. He will be a May graduate. Also has offers from Akron and EMU. Could be a potential DE or DT, but plays DT at JUCO right now.
ATH Denzel Dykes, St. John's College High (District of Columbia)
-Has offers from just about every school in the MAC, Dykes is a 5-foot-10 and 170 pound prospect that likely projects as a corner. Plays for a stacked HS team, I've seen upwards of eleven 2014 players with D1 offers.
