CMU senior guard Rayshawn Simmons has been named the MAC West Player of the Week for his performance against Jacksonville State last Friday.
He had a career-high 30 points and only suffered one turnover in his 40 minutes of action.
With Chris Fowler resting as a precaution, Simmons went off, leading CMU to its first win of the season. The points are nice, but seeing just one turnover while playing all 40 minutes is a key stat, and something Simmons focused on this offseason.
CMU will next play against Alma College tomorrow night at McGuirk Arena.
