This is the quiet time for me. Football spring game is over. Summer is coming on and the commits have been filling up fast. So, what do we do?
Well, I hope that the guys on the team are using this "quiet time" to make some noise. I hope they are hitting the weights, cramming down the chow, wearing out the cardio equipment and setting themselves up to make noise in late August. This is a key season for Enos. It's time to establish a positive pattern. It's time for his program, coaches and recruits, to make a name for themselves. The transition days are over. The days of adjusting to new schemes are over. It's show time.
So, what do I expect this fall? I expect a step forward. Not just in wins, but in the way this team performs during the games. I expect some dominance to show up in the hearts and minds of our defense. I expect them to show they believe, they can control the game, and they can set teams back on their heals.
It's year four of the offense as well. I don't expect to see a step backwards even with a new qb. Enos has had time to develop his offense, his qb, his mindset and gameplans. He has had time to see what the league brings, what he needs to become a annual threat and get his players on the field.
Quiet time? It's rage at the machines time! It's bust it time so that next fall this team can bust opponents squard in the mouth. Get after it fellas. You either are getting ready for busting out, or you will be busted up by those who did.
