Macomb (Mich.) Dakota DB Davis Basirico is eligible to return to the field after serving a two-game suspension for an off the field altercation. He has also been moved to safety from CB last year, which S is probably his collegiate position destination.Harbor Springs (Mich.) DE/TE David Walker is still in the mix, but he has one of those interesting recruitment's. His father has really taken charge of the recruiting process, and he also happens to be the teams head coach. Walker did not play in their first game, but as the teams starting RB he had 232 yards and 5 TD's on just 19 carries in a 40-12 win over Frankfurt this past week. Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice ATH Jason Alessi is a new name on the radar that could draw interest. Incredible athlete who also excels at basketball and lacrosse. Was originally committed to UM for lacrosse, but indicated he is looking at football. CMU is in the mix, but he has already snagged offers from Air Force, Akron and Cornell. Could be a WR or DB at the next level. Excellent return man was well, with legit 4.4 speed. May have seen the Lapeer (Mich.) East article on the front page about the Chippewas interest in Kyle Rachwal. Think there is some interest there, but this is a guy who camped at MSU and the coaches have had a lot of time to look at. The fact he has yet to receiver an offer has to be noted. Currently his only offer is EMU. Still think RB Lorenzo Collins from Farmington Hills Harrison is a possibility at RB. But there are two big questions. 1) Does he have the grades? 2) Will CMU still take a RB if Tipton gets a 6th year.
