I was in Mount Pleasant last week and spent the day at the practice facility. I will have some articles coming on the new staff and some general updates.
But I wanted to mention one thing here first, and that is on the progress of Wide Receiver Brandon Childress. Childress, coming off knee surgery, is progressing very well. He is running and can do cutting drills. He most likely won't suit up and go full this spring, but he is expected to be at 100% when the fall camp rolls around.
This is huge for the team after losing so much experience at the WR position. Childress can provide some experience and hopefully be the player we all know he can be.
Another great site to see was the emergence of Bailey Edwards. After greyshirting 2 years ago, who took his academic redshirt last season. He will have 4 years of eligibility, and is practicing with the team. While his skills looked good, he will need to put on some muscle to compete at a high level. Still plenty of time for that.
