I hope all of my fellow CMU fans had a chance to enjoy today's game as much as I did.

Despite leaving points on the board and really looking like the better team, the Chippewas played a hell of a game and battled to the end.

CMU shut out Syracuse the entire second half while scoring 14 points of their own, including a game-tying touchdown with 7 seconds left to play in the game.

Quarterback Cooper Rush and tight end Ben McCord both had career days on offense.

The defense was missing defensive end Joe Ostman, and still did a tremendous job.

Unfortunately the Chips could not come through in the clutch and fell in overtime when Syracuse scored a touchdown after a field goal from CMU.

Have to be proud of the effort if you're a fan, and it's ok to be upset that we could have won the game. In comparison to pre-season outlooks, that's a good feeling.

Sorry for the lack of posts this week as I had a family emergency but I hope to be back in full swing this week. Great showing from CMU and let's hope they can regroup quickly and get ready for Sparty next Saturday.
