..... is being played at BGSU. The undefeated, defending MAC champion Chippewas will be taking on the once beaten Falcons. It's going to be the league game of the year. A victory for Sue Guevara's team should give them the regular season title. Something the Chips haven't won since 1985. It would also be the first win at BGSU in over 15 years.
I expect an emotional game to be played by both squads. CMU will use it's helter skelter attack and BGSU will use it's more disciplined offensive scheme. The last time they played CMU pulled a miracle comeback at home to force OT. Then in OT they pulled off the victory over what had to be a shocked Falcon team.
I expect the same type of game at BGSU. The difference will be two things: the number of turnovers committed by the Chippewas, who lately don't seem to treasure the ball; and the percentage of free throw shooting success by the Chips. This has been a season long issue and it's not improving. CMU's two more frequent ball handlers really are poor free throw shooters. Bradford is at 50% on the year. Over 100 shots taken from the line and only hitting 50%. Next is starting point guard Green. Another high touch player who is shooting poorly at the line. Last check she was hitting 60%. Expect the Falcons to take advantage of this weakness and force the Chippewas to win at the line.
Now, how do I watch the Defending Champions and the men's team at the same time??????
