There just seems to be such a lack of pride, and or enthusiasm surrounding these last 2 home games. Often times when you have a 4-6 record, it can be deceptive, such as losing some close games, or being just a break or two away from having a 6-4 or 7-3 record. You know, something positive to build off of. In our case, not so much, were lucky we're not looking at 2-8 at this point, with zero impressive wins on the year. Lucky for us, the MAC is home to 3 of the worst teams in D-1 this year, one of which we should have lost to last weekend.
I feel sorry for the players, because outside of parents and girlfriends , the crowd this Saturday against UMass is going to be monumentally low. Throw in highs only approaching the upper 20's with 18-20 mph winds, along with 2 programs going nowhere fast, I'm thinking we might see less than 2K on hand. I'm curious as to how the athletic department will fudge the numbers for this inevitable pig.
