OK folks, we're one day away from kickoff for the biggest game of the season.
Can Spartan Dan reverse the trend of having his team not ready to play at home?
Will Fleck come in here and continue his hot streak in year two of his project?
Time will tell, but it should be exciting.
I want to see a good crowd, there's no excuses this week, and the game is at a perfect time...1:00 on a Saturday afternoon.
If the Chips can pull it off and finish 8-4, it might keep people like me off of Spartan Dan's backside.
If they lose and finish 7-5, something better be said about how we underachieved this season. I don't want to hear about how great we are because we got a bowl game at 7-5. The fact of the matter is, over 80 teams qualify for bowls, so getting to a bowl is not a great accomplishment any longer.
Enos has been building up to this year. This team came into the season as being one of the most talented in the conference, we should be looking at a 9-3 season, 8-4 at worst, so if we finish 7-5, I'm going to consider this season a failure. Bottom line.
Remember when Heeke used to throw the term "Championship Culture" around?
Well, you don't hear that any longer, haven't in a long time.
If I'm Heeke, I just tell Dan that this is a HUGE game for us, and that he expects a win at home against our biggest rival.
Just win the game. As much as the Ball. St. game still infuriates the heck out of me, I can live with 8-4.
With the roster that we have, 7-5 should be totally unacceptable.
