After reading the article on Williamson, two things have become clear.
1. Enos has decided to pursue a few highly recruited players, not just hidden gems.
2. These players have no idea about CMU, and appear to have no interest per their comments.
So, how does one, i.e. Enos, turn this around? Fleck did it in one year. He went after and landed some "rated" players that had offers from other MAC and "BCS" programs. It appears that Fleck is by far the better recruiter as he has eaten Enos' lunch and dinner time after time. He even landed Keenoy, a CMU legacy. So, is our best hope that Fleck can't coach? Or, is it that Enos will find assistants that know how to recruit and are highly successful at that part of the game? Whatever it is, Enos better figure it out quickly or he will be looking up at the entire MAC very soon.
Fleck is stockpiling talent. The new head coach at EMU has turned three losers into winners. NIU is solid year after year. BSU's coach owns Enos. What's the answer, or should we just expect that this head coach just isn't capable of getting it done?
